Other Details to Note

You’re welcome to use Bullhead pond for swimming or with your own kayaks, canoes, etc. or using our kayaks, but our insurance requires signing of liability waivers by each participant (or guardian). You'll receive details after booking. Paddles and lifejackets are in the shed in front of the main house. Swimming and kayaking should be done in Bullhead Pond (larger pond) launching from the access area with the adirondack chairs. Pickerel Pond (smaller pond by the road) is shallower and not suitable swimming. Use care along the edge of the ponds as the ground can be spongy/unstable in the water-brush areas with lots of roots. On Bullhead pond at the location of the swim platform the depth is about 15 - 20 feet. Firewood is $10 for 10 full-size pieces or equivalent from the pile. You can send payment through Airbnb. There is a main house and another camping cabin on the property which may also be occupied. Pond and trail usage is shared. - Please tidy up for 10 minutes using our “before you leave” checklist at the end of your stay. This enables us to not charge a cleaning fee. - Place trash/recycling in the bins at the road by the beginning of the driveway.

My husband and I eloped a few weeks before coming here so we were looking for somewhere that felt like a vacation but still connected with nature in an off grid way. We’re from NJ so far but not too far. Joy & Luke’s hidden gem checked all our boxes. We didn’t want to feel like we missed out on doing anything but also didn’t want to leave the property much. So much to explore and do here. It also felt very safe and easy to find with the directions provided. We will be returning (we want to experience it in all different seasons)!

Luke and Joy’s property is absolutely breathtaking. My doggo and I enjoyed our stay! It was even better that no one rented the house and the other cabin so we had the whole place to ourselves. I loved it. Beautiful view of the pond, so many trails in the back, and clean bathroom area. I definitely recommend this place to others and I hope to make it back there again next fall! Thank you!
